We will be continuing our Virtual Summer in July! Law-Related Education has filled up all of their summer sessions and then some (even after opening a second session for all of the workshops!) The Congressional Medal of Honor Character Education sessions had to be cancelled and rescheduled for next summer.


We have scheduled four new sessions and extended one of our online sessions! Click on the flyer and the links below for the new sessions. I am also including some outside PD opportunities from some great organizations! Also, be sure to check out our Instructional Technology offerings for support with a blended learning environment!

Project Geography July 15

3-hour virtual PD! Workshop will include group discussion, breakout rooms, and additional work to receive additional 3-hour of credits. Online modules are perfect for teachers of World Geography, AP Human Geography and 6th grade World Cultures.

Planning with the End in Mind for 8th and EOC! July 23

This planning session will be the first of the 2020-2021 school year series to start our preparations for student success on the state assessments.

Planning with Vertical Alignment in Mind July 30

This planning session will the first in our 2020-2021 school year. This session is designed to help social studies teachers, in non-tested grades/contents, plan for each upcoming six weeks.

Teaching Remembrances & Required Observations August 1

A session for Social Studies Instruction for Texas Holidays, Honor Months, Special Days and Remembrances! This self-paced course that runs from August 1 through September 13, 2020.
