Congratulations!
Whispering Wind Academy has reason to be proud again as one of our very own, Uma Rosner, a 3rd grader in our Mandarin immersion program, has made it to the semi-finals of the Chinese-Bridge Proficiency Competition this week. This national contest for foreign primary school students is hosted by the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools and the Consulate-General of China in San Francisco. Uma's impressive Mandarin skills and talent have qualified her to compete against other top students from across the US West Coast on Saturday, May 20. The top two contestants will advance to the final round, where the winner will represent Team USA in the contest to be held in China in fall 2023. Congratulations, Uma, for representing our school on the national stage, and we wish you the best of luck in the semi-finals!
