Schlegel Safari Newsletter
December 2020
Dear Schlegel Families,
What a beautiful time of year for us to stop and enjoy the smallest moments! By focusing on the positives, we are able to maintain a healthy, happy perspective which we all benefit from. Fortunately, our students and staff are working hard each day-both hybrid and remote. Our Schlegel parents are an integral part of making this happen. Whether it is getting your child up and ready to go to school or logging on to school, your help and consistent routine is noticed and appreciated.
Please remember that we will keep the same schedule for students-either am or pm session if we have a full district remote day(s) due to weather or government guidelines. For example, if your child attends hybrid or remote school during the am session, this will continue on days the district is full remote.
We are asking every parent to make sure they know how to help their child log into their Seesaw (K-2) or Google Classroom (3-5) accounts to access the Google Meet link teachers will be using. At this point, all of the classes have practiced and with the support of parents, we know students will be able to keep on learning with their classmates and teacher whether in person or online. Here is a link to an article to read from Responsive School. Five Ideas to Help Parents Empower Students During At-home Learning
Thinking back to this time last year, none of us would have predicted so many changes that we have overcome! Let's stick together in staying healthy and safe. PLEASE be sure to wash hands, wear masks, and social distance unless you are in the comfort of your own home with the loved ones who live with you.
Peace to you and your family during this holiday season!
