!!Pizza Party!!
Our class will receive a pizza party this Friday. No need to bring lunches on this day.
Pizza and Lemonade will be provided by the PTO for our class' hard work during the Jag Challenge. I cannot thank the parents enough for all the "behind the scenes" support!! You are truly amazing!
If your child cannot have these items they may bring their lunch/drink. Pls send me an email if you have any health concerns.
SpellingCity.com
We finally have a class account on SpellingCity.com! I am so excited. Students now have a fun resource to practice spelling and vocabulary. SpellingCity also has an app for iPhone and Androids so they can practice on the go! In the car, waiting at the Dr. office, and at home; now they have no excuses for not practicing their words! Ha Ha
I have set up personalized list for each student and I entered assignments. Please have them log on and practice.....I will be monitoring thier progress throughout the week.
To access our classes page go to www.spellingcity.com/MrsBouslog/
Your students sign on will be their last name, first initial, and their number
Password: Bouslog

Let me know if you have any problems accessing their accounts. Have fun!!
States and Capitals
I am going to start testing students on the states and capitals. I will be testing them by regions not all 50 at once. Listed below are the test dates and the regions that they will be tested on.
Nov. 19th Northeast (11 states)
December 17th Southeast ( 12 states)
January 9th Southwest (12 states)
January 30th Midwest (12 states)
February 20th West (4 states )
For each test students will be given a blank map of that region. They will have to know each state, the capital, and the state abbreviation. As discussed we will be doing some practice in the classroom, but they will need help at home to master this standard.
There are lots of great resources, apps, websites for students to practice. If you know of any post them at the bottom for everyone!! Thanks
