From the Desk of Mrs. Adelman

Hello, Warwick Bears!

First and foremost, I love seeing our Warwick Bear students visit the office! However, this week we have seen a large amount of students in the office asking for a snack. With the large number of food allergies, sensitivities, etc. I am seeking home support to pack a snack each day.

Students will have a snack each day either in the morning or afternoon, depending on the grade level lunch time. Please pack a snack and a reusable water bottle for your child each day.

If you have any financial hardships for snack, or other school fees please reach out to Mrs. Adelman at aadelman@cbsd.org.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Amy Adelman

Warwick Bear Project

Our goal this year will continue to come together as a community of proud Warwick Bears! You may have noticed that all staff members have created a bear cut out with their picture, name, and grade level that are proudly displayed on classroom doors/offices! We would like to ask that every student create a Warwick Bear to display in the halls. Your child will be coming home with a bear cut out. On the bear cut out we are asking students (or parent helpers) to write the student's name, grade level, and print and glue a picture on to the bear. If you need help with the picture, please e-mail your classroom teacher. When finished, please send the completed Warwick bears back to your homeroom teacher!

Thank you for your help in creating our welcoming school culture!

Laptop Reminders for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Students

Please remind students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade that they should be utilizing the district provided laptop bag to carry laptops back and forth to school each day. If you do not have a district provided laptop bag, please reach out to your homeroom teacher.

Laptop Breakage

We have seen a rise in the amount of screen breaks for student laptops. Our policy covers for 2 broken screens per device. If your child’s laptop screen breaks 3 times, we will be required to send you an invoice for the repair and labor. The current cost for this is $200. Please remind your child to care for their laptops. Some simple steps to assist are:

  • Use two hands when holding or moving the device.
  • Use clean hands while using the laptop or iPad.
  • Use only the provided digital pen or finger on the screen.
  • Use only the power adapter that came with the device.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.
  • Keep device stored in the provided case. This includes traveling through the hallways, on buses, or anytime the device is not being utilized.
  • Make sure nothing is on the keyboard, close the lid, and remove all cables if any are plugged into the laptop. Place laptop in your bag carefully.
  • Be careful when placing your case on the floor. Keep the device off the floor so screens do not get stepped on by others.
