Week Two: Finding our Rhythm

Attendance and Engagement in synchronous classwork have been excellent. Our students are showing up and ready to learn. Let's keep this up, Timberwovles!

We continue to work through some of the "bugs" in the system, but overall, students are engaging in meaningful learning opportunities.

Student Expectations for Virtual Learning

Please review the MVHS Student Expectations for Virtual Learning

Students are expected to participate in class every day. For videoconference calls, students are strongly encouraged to use their video feature as it adds to classroom culture, engagement, and general learning.

MVHS Online Ettiquette:

  • Be friendly, patient, and positive
  • Have a designated area to complete your schoolwork
  • Keep your computer fully charged
  • Consider what's in your background when you are participating in a videoconference call
  • Make sure everyone gets a chance to participate in the lesson
  • Make an effort to keep your video on so everyone can see you
  • Use school-appropriate language
  • Dress in school-appropriate clothing

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will take place on Thursday, Oct. 1st at 6:00pm. This event will consist of a live Zoom Webinar with the Principal and school leadership, followed by an asynchronous video opportunity to learn more about each student's courses, teachers, expectations, support options, and communication trees for the Fall clases. More details (and links!) will be forthcoming as we near the event.

Important Information from ASB

Hey Timberwolves, here’s a quick message from ASB!

  • Please continue to check your school email because class elections are going to be coming out within the next week for voting.

  • Make sure that you’re following @mvhs.asb on Instagram to stay updated on the spirit weeks, class competitions, club information, etc..

Students are expected to engage each day with each of their classes. Our teachers will be taking attendance every period, every day. Students who are not engaging with their classes online will be marked absent.

Meal Distribution on Mondays and Wednesdays

MVHS will be distributing meals for Students/Families on Mondays and Wednesdays each week. Pickup times will be 11am-1pm, and 3pm-4pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. We are here to serve you!

Make-up Yearbook Portraits and ID Cards

Students who missed the yearbook photo/ID card window during Timberwolf Days can come to campus on Monday, Sept. 28th from 2:30-6:00pm to take their portrait and get an ID card. There is no need to register in advance.
