Core Values: Growth Mindset
Growth Mindset: We define growth mindset as the ability to keep trying when things get hard. Students will continue to try, regardless of the amount of attempts they need to make to grow their brain and learn. We expect students to be challenged in the materials they are learning so they are able to grow within their learning.
Failure is common and welcome in our school. The goal is once you fail, it is an attempt towards success. We don't stop at failure but persevere until we are successful. Our students should always be open to growing and evolving as they work through their curriculum. There will be bumps in the road but we want to encourage them to not turn into boulders.
How does your family define growth mindset? What will your student do in the face of struggle and challenge? Have conversations at home to explore how growth mindset aligns with your own family's values.
