Have a Wonderful Fall Break!
School will be closed October 10th - 16th.
We will see our Little Giants back on Monday October 19th!
Important COVID Fall Break Message from Your District:
Perry Township Schools will be closed October 12-16 for fall break. If your child or
anyone in your home tests positive for COVID-19 during the break, please keep
your child home on Monday, October 19 and contact us here at the school on that
day for further instructions.
From the Principal's Office
It is hard to believe we've made it to Fall Break already. When we started back to school in August, I was anxious about the unknowns that came with Covid-19. Keeping our students and staff safe and healthy was the top priority, and as a principal it weighed heavily on my heart! However, I knew week one that our mighty Little Giant family was going to be JUST FINE!
I want to publicly say THANK YOU to our entire school community.
To our families, thank you for the following:
- daily checks to ensure your child was symptom free
- sending your child ready and prepared with a mask each day
- your grace and understanding as we followed safety protocol
- trusting us to care for you children
To our school staff, thank you for the following:
- daily checks that YOU were symptom free
- juggling a schedule that kept your students from mixing with other classrooms
- rearranging your classroom to allow for proper social distancing
- putting your students' social well-being first to ensure they felt loved
To our Little Giants, thank you for the following:
- smiling with your eyes when those masks covered your mouth
- washing those hands and sanitizing!
- learning how to do school so fast and doing a great job following safety procedures
- learning and growing so much every day
My gratitude for my school community is huge. Thank you for getting through an unusual year and for allowing us to educate your children. It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your principal!
Have a wonderful Fall Break.
Much love,
Mrs. Hansell

JGKA Achievement Wall
Today several of our Little Giants signed the wall for meeting these goals! We are SO very proud of them!
At JGKA, our school mission is Building kind, confident learners. It is so exciting to see our Little Giants work hard and accomplish their goals!!!
We want to say thank you to everyone that donated. The money we collect is used to fund programs and materials in our Perry Township classrooms. Our very own Ms. Harris and Ms. Kidwell have received more than one grant from PTEF and they've enjoyed purchasing fun materials for their students to use in class.
Thanks to Mr. Schott for coordinating our JGKA Fitness Centers this week. Each student was able to participate during PE. Check out the pictures below, it was a ton of fun!
(Thank you to everyone that registered and donated. We will not need to accept anymore registrations.)
Sight Word Challenge
Unable to Access Internet?
As you know, at JGKA we are committed to building kind, confident learners. This is our daily mission, and it doesn't stop when the buses roll off our lot! We can also help our learners when they need to access learning remotely on their Chromebooks at home. Thanks to the hard work of our district social workers, we can also offer support if your family is need of more reliable internet.
- Does your child struggle with staying connected to google meets or canvas when working at home?
- Do you have more than 1 child on a Chromebook putting a strain on your current internet service at home?
- Does it take forever to upload videos on your school Chromebook?
Contact our school social worker, Mrs. Lopez-Hunt at (317) 789-4318 to request a personal hotspot strong enough to keep up to 3 Chromebooks running at full speed for your child's educational needs.

provide limited services to all students, including but not limited to - screening for signs
of illness, first aid/emergency care, referral to health providers in the community, nutrition services, health education, health screenings and immunization information. This is a School clinic and all records are maintained by the School. There is no charge to you for the services received.
If your child needs prescription or over the counter medicine, management of chronic
health conditions or any health needs requiring a physician order while in school, your
