Join us for Donuts with Grown Ups on Friday, September 16th from 7:15 a.m.-7:35 a.m.

It is important that you contact the school so that we can provide you with information regarding your child's return to school date along with other information.

Lunch with Students Begins on Thursday, September 15th!
Lunch Days
Thursdays - Pre-K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Except for Thursday, October 13th)
Fridays - Kinder, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Except for Friday, October 7th and 14th. Due to the Holiday, Kinder will lunch with parents will be held on Thursday, October 13th)

Students are our primary focus during lunches.
Procedures
- You will need to have your ID(s) ready when you arrive.
- Parents/Guardians will check in and wait in the foyer until all students have entered the cafeteria.
- Parents/Guardians cannot provide food to other students.
- Follow the directions of staff members while on campus.
- Parents/Guardians cannot remove food off of cafeteria provided lunch plates.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to interact with other students.
- Parents/Guardians are not permitted to go to any other parts of the building. If you need to visit other parts of the building, you will need to report to the main office.
- Parents/Guardians will follow the direction of staff to exit the building at the end of the lunch period.
- If someone other than the parent/guardian is coming, they will need parent permission and will have to sign up and contact Ms. Pasion at tpasion@dallasisd.org prior to the day.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTITIVITES
Reilly Robotics Sign Ups - 5th Grade
The VEX IQ Challenge provides elementary students with exciting, open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. The VEX IQ Challenge fosters student development of the teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills required to prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. The VEX IQ Challenge is aimed at grades 3 through 8 for teams of 6 to 8 students.

- Choir - 4th and 5th Grade (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots)
- Rock Band - 4th and 5th Grade (limited 2nd and 3rd grade spots)
P.L.A.Y. Initiative for 4th-5th Grade Sign Ups
As part of the P.L.A.Y. Initiative (Practice Leagues for Active Youth), students across Dallas ISD will be engaged in their school community by learning about and playing sports that will:
- Expand sport-specific knowledge and skills
- Increase self-esteem
- Provide positive social interactions
- Increase physical activity and fitness levels
- Allow avenues to have fun, regardless of skill level
Each semester will include 4 PLAY Period Sessions that include 8 different sports. Fourth and fifth grade students will get to experience softball, basketball, soccer, flag football, lacrosse, field hockey, pickleball and futsal (indoor soccer), in a co-ed setting. There is absolutely no barrier to entry, including academic grades. In fact, our motto is Anyone and Everyone Plays No Matter What!

September is Attendance Awareness Month
Important Things to Remember
- School starts at 8 a.m. Your child is considered tardy at 8:00 a.m. Please ensure they arrive at school by 7:50 a.m. so that they can be in class and ready to learn at 8.
- If your child is ill, please ensure that you send an excuse note to school when they return. You may also email the attendance note to Ms. Medina at ljaramillo@dallasisd.org.
- Early pick ups also impact student learning. No early pickups will be allowed after 2:30 p.m.
