From the Principal

Dear Bobcat Families,

We've had a great week at Bush! Red Ribbon Week has been a lot of fun and our WATCH D.O.G. kickoff event was a huge success! Thank you to all the dads and positive male figures that attended our first ever WATCH D.O.G.S. kickoff night. A special thank you to Mrs. McGhee and Mrs. Heinle for sponsoring this program and Mrs. Taylor Parmigiano for taking the lead as our TOP DOG coordinator. They have done an incredible amount of work to bring this program to our school. THANK YOU!

As you all know, it is voting season! If you have not had an opportunity to look over the CISD Bond information, please click HERE. I encourage you all to get out and vote! Several items on the Bond package would impact Bush, including a new gym in Prop C. If you have any questions regarding the bond, please feel free to reach out to me.

Have a great weekend!

Mrs. Thompson

Gifted and Talented Program

Gifted and Talented Program nominations are now open for the 2023-2024 school year. These nominations are for students in K, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. Because 2nd graders all take the COGAT test, their nominations are done in a different way, and it is not necessary for them to be nominated at this time. If you believe your child should be tested for our GT program, please click on the link, fill out the forms on the website under the tab labeled Referral Forms (there will be 3 forms: Referral form, Permission to Test, and Parent Survey) and return them to Mrs. Dupre. Nominations will be accepted until December 15, 2023, and testing will take place between January 23rd and February 3rd. If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Dupre, our GT coordinator at ddupre@conroeisd.net.
