Adam Carroll: Broke, Busted & DisgustedIf you’re not concerned about the student debt issue in America, you’re not paying attention. Our system of higher education, particularly the way it’s funded, is creating a generation of heavily indebted young adults. Many of whom will have children in college before they’re even close to paying off their loans. They’re frustrated, stressed and sometimes unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Adam Carroll will help us examine this important issue and find hope and solutions. | Dr. Tom Lane: Iowa's Area Education AgenciesThe Iowa AEA system selected Dr. Tom Lane as a legislative liaison given his vast experience advocating for K-12 education with the Iowa legislature. Lane served for 10 years as superintendent of the Carlisle Schools, where he also served as elementary principal. He was named the 2012-13 School Administrators of Iowa Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Lane will provide us with an update on current issues in the legislature while also instilling valuable tips for advocacy. | Katie Ward: Wixted & Company Katie Ward knows today’s ever-changing media landscape from the inside out. She’s done just about every job in a newsroom including photojournalist, editor, reporter, online news writer and anchor.
