MISSION: IGNITING A PASSION FOR LEARNING
Message from the Principal
Dear Families,
March has proved to be quite an exciting month in Kewaskum. Our KHS athletics made for an exciting start to the month! Our own KMS athletics both school and community sponsored clubs/athletics have kept our students busy competing at a high level. We are proud of all our students and their accomplishments. I am excited to see what great things the remainder of the school year will bring!
Forward Testing:
We are so proud of the students and the great effort they put forth during testing. We ask a lot of them in one week! We appreciate the effort and time they took to do their best.
Contacting Teachers:
With the short time left in the school year, it is a good idea to check your child's grades on Skyward. If you have any concerns please reach out to your child's teachers. You are welcome to call them or email them. If you wish to email a teacher you can click on their name right in Skyward to retrieve their email address.
Parent Meeting:
April 10 at 6:30 pm we will hold the final Parent Group Meeting of the year. During this meeting, we will be reviewing the feedback from the community survey. We need your help! If you can spare an hour of your time that evening we would love for you to join us. The only way we can be sure to meet the needs of our families is to hear directly from you.
Have a wonderful Spring Break!
Mrs. Skelton

The event will take place on May 20th in the downtown parking lot. The PDF flyer is attached to the original email. I have also included the link to the Google form to sign up - as well as a QR code on the flyer.
A Gift From The Past

Student Services Updates from the desk of Mrs. Paruch
In April our 8th grade class will be visiting Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC), West Bend Campus as part of our Academic & Career Planning program. They will choose two pathways that they want to explore and they will learn about some of the MPTC offerings within those pathways. We hope that the experience will help students to identify career fields that they want to explore as high school students. If you are a parent of an 8th grade student, please watch for a permission slip to come home soon after spring break.
As part of classroom lessons, eighth-grade students learned about many ways to improve their mental health including practicing generosity, being creative, setting goals, and recognizing and dealing with stress. They reflected on what they could focus on as a way to improve their mental health proactively.
In middle school, peer relationships become the main focus of students’ attention. As such, they sometimes encounter conflicts with peers. This month, 6th-grade students learned about conflict resolution including active listening and using “I statement” to share their perspectives.
I hope everyone has an amazing spring break. I encourage students to take some time to do things that rejuvenate them and to connect with others in a meaningful way.
