Creating Opportunities Together
A Thought or Two from Mr. Nieslanik
Here we sit in June, the last day of school has ended, and summer lies before us. As I reflect on this year I see multiple points in time that are worthy of celebration, and I also see some areas where we can improve our practice. I do hope that as you sit back and reflect on this year, you also can point to successes! I highlight a few of my thoughts below:
- Our freshman are simply outstanding. They are engaged, artistic, athletic, spirited and academic. They came into SRHS and have claimed it as their own.
- Our sophomores have prepared themselves well to be upper classmen. I see them take the risks, maturing into more thoughtful learners, and ready to step into the role of juniors.
- Our juniors are ready to be leaders of the school. They are caring, engaged, inclusive learners. They will lead us well into next year!
- Our seniors left so many smiles on our faces. They graduated with class on Saturday and step into the next phase of their life with wings ready to soar.
I thank each and everyone of you for giving us your most prized possessions, your children. They filled our halls with laughter, our classrooms with inquisitiveness, and our activities with passion. I hope you step into summer with a smile on your face and a hop in your step!
See you in September,
David
