SCHOOL BUS SAFETY!
BUS BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
Being on the bus is just like being in school.
Expected bus behavior
When riding the bus, students are expected to:
•Remain seated for a safe ride.
•Listen to and follow directions given by the driver without being rude or disrespectful.
•Be respectful of others on the bus (no hitting, no name calling, bothering others’ belongings).
Words from Dr. Alston
We will continue with our motto, SOAR (Success, Optimism, Attitude and Respect). I encourage each of you to come to school daily with a positive, Growth Mindset. You'll hear that phrase a LOT this year. With a Growth Mindset, you won't do anything but SOAR! Everyday is a new day for you to be the best you can be.
More from Dr. Alston
For our new students and those returning that might need a reminder, we start our day with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by our school pledge: "I will act, in such a way, that I will be proud of myself and others will be proud of me. I came to school to learn and do my personal best, period, no exceptions." Our news team added period, no exceptions to the pledge about two years ago after hearing one of my daily quotes. They believed our students should do no less. You know what? Our pledge is exactly what Exton Eagles do.
Sorry there was no Sneak-A-Peek on Thursday. There were contractors and electricians still working in the building. Safety first! Teachers also had a lot of unpacking to do because of construction, they just wouldn't have been ready.
Enjoy the weekend. I'll see all of my Babies on Monday.
