Mission
STISD Health Professions Counseling department supports students' development in academic, social and emotional skills and provides opportunities for success in allied health care careers and post-secondary readiness.
Vision
STISD Health Professions Counseling department will empower and engage students to reach their full potential with challenging curriculum and caring community that will foster the development of a respectful and well-rounded individual.
TSI Review Session
There will be a review session for TSI Math and Reading on Saturday, January 27 from 8:30 - 12:30 pm. Sign up at the counseling center if you are interested!
TSI Testing - Thursday, February 1
There will be TSI testing opportunities through the month of February. The first testing session will take place on Thursday, February 1st. Students can sign up using the QR code located around the campus, or through the counseling center.
CTE Program of Studies
The counseling department would like to share our CTE program of studies and potential career opportunities for our students. Please see the flyer below for more information.
February is Social Emotional Learning Month!
This month is Social Emotional Learning month, and our students will focus on Healthy Friendships and Relationships. For more information on how parents can learn and become more involved with Social Emotional Learning, click on the link below.

National School Counseling Week - February 5 - 9
National School Counseling Week will be February 5th-9th and the theme is "School Counseling: Standards-based, Student-Focused." The Health Professions Counseling department is honored to serve HP students and help them reach all their future goals. Join us in celebrating with a spirt week
Campus Reminders
Student IDs
For our student's safety, IDs are mandatory. Students need to wear their ID on a lanyard and must be visible when at campus or on an STISD bus. If students need an ID, they may purchase one for 5.00 at the counseling center.
- All students need to wear their ID at all times when on campus. Please ensure your child has an ID when they come to school. Students without an ID will receive detention.
- Student drop off is at liberty island in morning (red arrows)
- Student pick up is by the Health Professions front office (blue arrows)
- All students driving to campus will need a parking permit. All those without may have their vehicle towed.
- All parents should have received a parent pass to use if you need to pick up your child early from campus. If you did not receive this pass, please contact the front office.
