Prevention is the Intervention™
Groups for Men with Risky Sexual Behavior
"The only impossible journey is the one you never begin"---Anthony Robbins
Research shows that sexual preoccupation is the dynamic factor most strongly predictive of sexual re-offending (Marshall & Marshall, 2012). Therefore, at The Prevention Project.™, we address sexual preoccupation along with implementing The Good Lives Model for Offender Rehabilitation and other strength-based factors that are in line with the Risk, Need, and Responsivity Principles.
Our sexual risk reduction program is often appropriate for those in the pre-trial/pre-conviction or pre-sentence phase, but it has also counted for individuals being court ordered to seek a boundaries, "Johns", or sexual harassment course. It is considered a diversionary option in lieu of traditional Sex Offender Treatment Programs (SOTP) for those individuals that are appropriate.
Our program accurately treats individuals based on their criminal risk level or criminogenic background, which research suggests, is lower for non-contact offenses than that of a contact offender. Our program is also beneficial when an offender completes SOTP as aftercare with the focus on maintenance and risk-reduction.
Who is Appropriate for Our program?
- Individuals who have issues with Voyeurism, Frotteurism, Exhibitionism
- Individuals needing a boundaries class or sexual harassment class for court
- Individuals needing a program for hiring escorts/prostitutes
- Individuals who are pre-sentence for on-line solicitation or viewing child porn

- Individuals who've exploited their partner via violent sexual behavior
- Individuals who were juvenile sex offenders needing added support

"Because What is Offensive is Not Necessarily Sex Offender"
