Terry Fox Run Friday September 13th @ 2:00 pm
Parents and younger siblings are welcome to participate. Please sign in at the office and meet the school in the MPR room.
STUDENTS are to wear RED & WHITE and Bring a TWOONIE.
We will be walking/running around the schoolyard to help keep Terry's dream alive.
Together we can support cancer research and those students and families overcoming adversity.
All proceeds raised will go towards Terry Fox Foundation

DEADLINE FOR FIRST QUARTER MILK ORDER IS SEPTEMBER 13.
Quarters will run as follows:
Q1 Sept 16th – Nov 1st
Q2 Nov 4th – Jan 31st
Q3 Feb 3rd - April 9 th
Q4 April 14th – June 19th

NUT AWARE SCHOOL
Due to a number of students and staff with significant allergies. Madonna Catholic School is a NUT AWARE SCHOOL. PLEASE do not send any foods made with any type of nut product. We have noticed a number of students coming to school with Nutella. Please note that this product is made with hazelnuts.

Medications
Please note that if your child needs to take medication during the school day. The medical forms that are in PowerSchool will need to be completed. All Medications are kept in the office in a secure location and will be given to your child by office staff. Please hand in medication to the office and not your child's teacher.
All Medical forms need to be updated yearly.
If your child requires an Epi-Pen, it is EICS's policy that your child wears their Epi-Pen on them. We keep their extra Epi-Pen in the office. Please contact the office to discuss your child's very specific situation

Digital Citizenship
As we are educating 21st Century learners and technology is more prevalent than ever, it is important that our students become positive and responsible digital citizens.
Here at Madonna Catholic School, students will be introduced to important topics that all surround digital citizenship using common sense media. Common Sense Media brings a child-friendly approach to discussing important topics regarding responsible technology use.
Students in kindergarten and grade 1 will be exposed to lessons on the topics of media balance & well-being and privacy & security. They will build on these lessons as they move on to older grades.
Students from grade 2-4 will be learning about the following topics:
