Liberty High Orchestra

October Orchestra Notes

Greetings and Salutations!

Dear Parents and Students of the Liberty High Orchestra Program,

HERE COMES OUR FIRST CONCERT...NEXT TUESDAY EVENING AT 7:30! For this concert, the two curricular orchestras will largely be performing together. Call time is 6:30. Concert will wrap by 8:30. You have my word. We are SO EXCITED TO perform!

I sure could use some help! Please consider responding to this email if you would like to be a parent helper for this evening. We are looking for one ticket taker, two reception helpers who are willing to bake and serve cookies after the concert, and I am looking for any parent who is able to come in on Friday morning of THIS week and help my dear mother fit alter uniforms...

Conferences

Speaking of uniforms...all of our students will need black shoes. Black dress shoes with no other colors...just black please. ALL FOLKS WHO WEAR A TUX NEED A WHITE BUTTON SHIRT AS WELL!

And now for the BIG SHOUT OUTS! Liberty Orchestras did a rocking job representing the orchestras at Homecoming Week! Thank you to Ruby for coordinating the Homecoming float, to Caleb and his dad for donating their fabulous truck for the parade, to everyone who showed up and rode in the truck- passing out candy (Anja, Vi, Hailey, Kufre!). To the PINK OUT volleyball game Star-Spangled Banner performers (Sophia G, Aisha, Kufre, Tyler, Marcus, and Vi) and to ALL of you who performed on Friday morning in the Commons! WAY TO REPRESENT!

Feeling out of the loop? You can find out more by logging onto our Canvas pages- where you will find all graded assignments, our calendar, and practice resources...all on the homepage. You can get to the syllabus page using the link below. It will take you to our 2021-2022 Orchestra Handbook- where you will find our grading policies, uniform information, instrument maintenance information, practice tips, and information on lettering and rewards in orchestra at Liberty!
