Substitute Folders & Emergency Plans

Substitute Folders & Emergency Plans

If you haven't started already, begin work on your substitute folder. This folder will include information and plans to help a substitute manage your classroom. Ensure your team and/or classroom neighbor knows the location of your substitute folder. Below you will find the folder requirements. I will email other items that may help you create/edit your sub folder. Sub folders are due to Heather Welch by August 17 @ 3:00pm. Email or see me with any questions or if you need help!.

Lucy Calkins Units of Reading & Writing

The reading/writing pacing guides have been updated for each grade level. Each grade level will be teaching six units this year (3-5 has a test taking unit in preparation for Milestones in the month of March). Please note, the launch of the WW is ONLY the first 10 days of school. All pacing guides and resources are on the p drive under "Pacing Guides 2016-17".

I will print the pacing guides on legal paper for your grade level.

Register Your Lucy Units of Reading Kit

Please register your kit on the Heinemann website. The Teachers College has added additional resources for writing through this log in. These resources include:

-Pictoral checklists K-5 (upper grades now added)

-Spanish translations of the rubrics and checklists

-Anchor charts that can be printed on sticky notes or made into personal charts for student notebooks (awesome)!
