Lake Louise School
November 14th, 2021
Hello Lake Louise Families,
We are excited for conferences coming up! They are Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23. Parents must sign up for a time slot with their student's teacher. If you have not done so already, please contact your child's teacher to set one up. Our teachers are excited to share updates on your child's learning this year! Our Lost and Found is also full. We will have a table with items in our Lost and Found set out at Conferences for you to find those missing sweatshirts, hats, gloves, and more!
Please make sure your children have masks that fit properly. If a mask is too big, it does not cover the nose. When possible, send your child with an additional mask as students have had some wet or torn masks throughout the day. Please wash cloth masks regularly.

Student Privacy
Privacy and student data protection is a key priority for the District. Our three main technology departments (instructional technology, technology, and data services) work to make sure our systems and vendors comply with the requirements of the Student Online Personal Protection Act or SOPPA, which regulates how student information is protected by school districts and education technology vendors they use. Our student privacy web page outlines our privacy related actions and protective measures.
We also employ a number of measures like on-site filtering, student device monitoring, and security tools which protect our network from outside threats. Students participate in digital citizenship curriculum, and staff can employ tools to support students in making good digital choices. Lastly, our district participates in several state and national consortiums, collaborating with other districts to keep informed on best practices and new resources that may support our data privacy policies.
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Reminders
We know that the Car Loop can be stressful and time consuming. Please be patient with staff outside and with each other when picking up your student. Our main goal is to have students picked up and dropped off safely and efficiently. We appreciate your cooperation on behalf of students and staff at Lake Louise.
Arrival & Dismissal Car Loop and Parent Pick-up
We have been reviewing our dismissal procedures at Lake Louise in order to improve our efficiency and safety. It is essential that we all follow our procedures so that all students can be picked up promptly and that our car pick-up line remains a safe process. Please read the following details carefully:
- Pull as far forward as possible to the front of the student loading zone.
- Follow the posted signs for no loading/no parking. U-turns are prohibited in the south lot. Parking along the South exit path is prohibited. Parking within the lot spaces is prohibited.
- Stay aware throughout the car line. Reminder that cell phone use in a school zone is prohibited.
- Students will be released and loaded into cars in the student loading zone on the passengers side of the car. Please pull all the way forward.
- Students will not be allowed to cross into the parking lot or go across the exit path to waiting cars.
- Cars must be in the car line and within the student loading zone for students to be released.
- Stay in your car to keep the line moving.
- No parking in the lot, on the south side of the exit path, or in the apartment complex lot across the street.
- Exit the lot by turning right only onto Jonathan Drive.
