We are looking to fill some PTSA positons and we want you!
Chocolate Fundraising Chair: Will help coordinate and organize Chocolate sales this Fall. Will have one meeting this summer, but the bulk is carried out the first month of school.
Restaurant Night Chair: Will help coordinate and organize restaurant nights for SVMS. Very little time commitment as we have a spreadsheet that lists contacts for previous restaurant nights.
Teacher Appreciation Chair: Will help coordinate and organize teacher appreciation efforts. Time commitment varies. Historically, this week takes place the first week in May.
Life Ceremony Chair: This chair will coordinate and help organize with Officer Bratcher. The ceremony most likely will take place during the day in February or March and lasts a couple of hours.
Parent/Teacher Conference Chair: This chair will coordinate and help organize four dates for parent/teacher conferences, two in the fall and two in the spring. We use a sign up genius to share information as to donations that are needed.
Please let us know if any of these positions sound good to you. We would love your help!
Need a shirt? We have some!
$5 a shirt in person, $6 if bought in our online square store (due to processing fees beyond our control). For that price you could get the whole family one!
Email svmsptsaeagles@gmail.com if you want one or check the square store's inventory (starting 1/22) to see if we have something you would like to have!
Looking for an admin for a grade level social media group!
This group will not be followed by the PTSA, but will allow parents across the grade an easier way to communicate with each other.
Of course, all requests, concerns, or serious questions about the school will be deferred to the school! Because we have amazing administration to deal with that.
But if you can't remember what color pants to buy for the Band concert or the exact start time of the Color Run, or something in that vein these groups are for you!
If you are a sixth grade parent and want to join, search Eagles Class of 2025.
If you are a seventh grade parent and want to join, search Eagles Class of 2024.
If you are an eighth grade parent and want to join, search Eagles Class of 2023.
Again, please email svmsptsaeagles@gmail.com if you would be willing to admin either the sixth or eighth grade pages. This should be a very small time commitment, but hopefully a big help to all!
LPS at it's best-Coffee with the Community and Parent University
Did you know that LPS offers a monthly conversation with the community called Coffee with the Community? Once a month they present a topic that pertains to LPS students in the District Academic Center at 10:00. There is one coming up this Thursday that will have to do with security in the district.
Here are the ones that have already taken place this school year:

Also, if you have an 8th grader going to Liberty North next year you will be invited to attend their Parent University when they move on to highschool. This curriculum includes education to help you navigate those high school waters! Keep an eye out for information on it. You can also find dates and content available on the LN page under Parent University.
