Think Tank in Third
Weekly Update- October 14, 2016
Our Week at a Glance
Math- We had a math test on Tuesday over addition, subtract, and rounding. We will do test corrections today and rubrics will come home sometime next week. These are skills we will continue to work on and will again assess before learner's profiles come out. Next week we will begin our E4Tech lessons for module 1, which will also incorporate mapping social studies skills.
Writing- We are continuing to work on our personal narratives. Next week we will take a break to focus on opinion and informational writing so that students are exposed to this before taking the first round of AIR testing in November. Exposing students to this type of writing will hopefully alleviate some stress and also set them up for success.
Social Studies- We mailed our Flat Stanleys and will hopefully be getting some mail here soon. Our e4tech modules will tie into Social Studies standards with mapping. We are so excited to begin these engaging lessons.
Genius Hour/Coding- This was on hold this week due to our short week. We will continue next week.
