Academic Planning and CRFs

Students in 9th through 11th grade will receive their Course Request Forms (CRFs) and academic planning information in homeroom on February 3. Keep an eye out for an email with information about the process and dates at the end of this month.

AP Exams Registration

AP Exam Registration Window Open: January 21-February 28

You can find information about AP Exams on our newsletter here.

AP Exam Registration will be re-opening on January 21. This will be the time for Spring AP classes (Calculus BC, German, Computer Science Principles, and Statistics) to register for their exams.

Students taking Fall AP classes (Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, European History, French, Physics, Psychology, Spanish Language, Studio Art, US Government, and US History) will also be able to late register with a $40 late fee.

Students who qualify, can get an AP Fee Reduction by filling out the Fee Reduction Application and bringing it with proof of income documentation to Ms. Hughes in the Counseling Office. Contact Ms. Hughes with any questions about Fee Reductions - johughes@powayusd.com

AP Exams

We will host AP Exams at the beginning of May. We ask students not taking exams to be respectful in areas the exam is taken. Information for students who are taking the exams will be sent out in an email closer to the time of the exams.

2020-2021 Enrollment

Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year will start May 1, 2020. Inter/Intra District Transfers for 20-21 open February 1, 2020. Note: even if your student is on an IDT to one of our feeder schools, they will need a new IDT for next year unless Poway is their home school.

Thursday Trade Days

Thursday Trade Days are back! We are excited to roll out our second series of workshops for our students addressing local career opportunities. Please encourage your students to attend and take advantage of these opportunities during lunch on Thursdays in the Titan Center. This is open to all students to attend.

Youth Volunteer Opportunities in San Diego

Finding a volunteer opportunity is recommended for high school students as early as their freshman year. Many colleges, scholarships, jobs, and internships require a certain number of volunteer hours. In addition to our on-campus activities, below are a few volunteer opportunities in the Poway and San Diego County area.

Employment Opportunity - Student tutors for hire

Student Tutor Applications Available in the Titan Center

Students…If you are qualified and are interested in earning money tutoring other students, please go to the Titan Center to pick up an application to become a student tutor. You will be required to have a teacher recommendation for each subject area you wish to tutor. Applications are available in the Titan Center. For more information on paid student tutoring, please email Ms. Jaime Brown at jbrown@powayusd.com for more information.


Seniors! The last date to take the SAT is December 7th. Late registration is still available until November 26th. Please note that not all colleges will accept the December test. Check with your school before taking the exam on this date.

Juniors! If you plan to take the ACT or SAT this school year, please pay close attention to the dates to avoid late fees or missing the test entirely. You can register for the SAT at the College Board website here. You can register for the ACT at the ACT website here.
