LATEST UPDATES ON ROAD FORWARD for PreK - 12
Dear PA Students, Faculty, and Parents,
I hope you are doing well and having a great summer holiday. I am writing to inform you about our plans for the 2021/2022 academic year.
Overall, last school year was an immense success, considering how well our teachers, students, families, and community all met the challenges of COVID-19. We are very thankful to our students and teachers for their dedication and hard work throughout the year. We are also grateful to our parents for their tremendous support.
Vaccinations are now available for anyone 12 years and older. Almost all of our staff have already completed their vaccinations. PA strongly recommends vaccination for all eligible students.
PA LEARNING MODEL
Our well-rounded educational program is designed to help students with academic and social-emotional needs, and sharing the same physical environment plays a crucial role in these efforts. Therefore, with the students fully returning to campus for this school year, we are pleased to announce that we are better equipped to cultivate a caring and quality school environment that will serve the needs of all our precious students.
As announced earlier, we are beginning with on campus learning Tuesday, September 7th. We are not offering a virtual option at this time. Should there be an increase in COVID-19 numbers reaching a level that requires a change, and health departments and the CDC adjust their recommendation, we will quickly adapt our plans to include remote learning and announce it to the whole school community.
Please make your plans for in person learning beginning Tuesday, September 7th.
The only exceptions with an administrative pre-approval are the following categories:
Students out of US - unable to enter the US due to travel restrictions or pending a visa appointment - subject to SEVIS regulations
Students living out of the state of New Jersey, subject to verification
Extenuating documented medical conditions, subject to verification
This approach will help us continue offering both the best education and the best environment for our students’ academic success and social-emotional growth. We will continue to monitor the health department and federal guidelines for this academic school year.
We are confident this model will be successful and look forward to this academic year being another wonderful one at PA. Should you have any questions/comments, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Sincerely,
Principal
Owen O. Akman
