Lunch Deliveries
Since the beginning of the school year, we have had an abundance of food deliveries to the school. We understand that students might forget their lunches on occasion and have no problem with deliveries in those instances. However, daily lunch deliveries are highly discouraged as they tend to be a distraction to school activities. Moreover, we are not equipped with the number of front office staff to get dozens of lunches to students during instructional time.
We also ask that food is not brought in to share with other students. SMCPS policy states, "Due to food allergy and food safety concerns, all food brought to school for students to consume should be commercially packaged and prepared (excluding individual student lunches)." This allows the nurses and or other healthcare professionals to better address any medical need that might arise as a result of ingesting any food products brought into school.
All students in SMCPS have access to multiple ebooks and database subscriptions. Check out the link above for the latest.
