LMS Library Corner
October 2017 Edition I
Welcome!
These last couple of weeks, we've been busy working with teachers and students on a variety of interesting projects. We've worked with...
- Ms. Kane and Ms. Walter's 8th grade students on a book stations activity. Students previewed (& checked out!) books about civil rights issues and individuals who have made a difference.
- Ms. Hashem's ESOL students, Ms. St. Germain's 7th grade English students, & Ms. Wu's 7th grade English students on book check out activities. Click here to see the book talk slides we used with Ms. Wu's classes.
- Mr. Shlobach's 8th grade Civics students on using the FCPS Databases--specifically Opposing Viewpoints in Context-- to find out about current event topics in preparation for a debate.
- Several 8th grade Civics (Huftalen, Deal, & Miller) classes on a lesson of evaluating sources of information and identifying fake news. Click here to access the check list we gave students.
