NEW Early Dismissal Policy Enforcement
Baltimore City Public Schools does not allow ANY dismissal during the last 15 minutes of any school day. We will be enforcing this rule, effective IMMEDIATELY. This means that we will not allow any scholar to leave between 3:45pm and 4:00pm.

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING!
Friday, June 17th, 2-3pm
900 Woodbourne Avenue
There will be multi-media presentations, interactive and filled with information that our scholars have learned and researched and are excited to share! The event starts PROMPTLY at 2pm and will end promptly at 3pm. Please come on time so you can get the most of what our scholars have to say!

We are now recruiting for Scholar Ambassadors for the 2016-2017 School Year!
- Fill out an application
- Get a letter of recommendation from an adult (not your parent!)
- Write an essay about why you want to be an ambassador and what you can bring to the table (site examples of times you were your sister's keeper, or any time outside of school where you have had a leadership position or how you desire to be a leader and the SA program and teach you how, etc.)
- Interview with Mrs. Sparkman and Ms. Lester
Additional Consideration will be given to:
- Attendance (tardys and unexcused absences)
- Uniform Infractions
- Habits of Mind Grade
- Negative Jumprope Comments
- Missing Assignments
- Overall Grades (must have an average of all grades 2.3 or better!)

Greening of LMCJS
Ms. Doran and Mrs. Sparkman are working together to form a comprehensive plan to help LMCJS to reduce waste and teach our scholars the value of preserving our planet and its VERY limited resources.
Please stay tuned as your scholars come home with new initiative and plans to implement a plan of their own at home. Let's support them in their efforts to be an active citizen!
