Destination College's February Workshops

The Destination College office at Collin College will be hosting two workshops in February, one featuring information on applying for financial aid and the other will be a session with our university partners. If you could please include the following information in any upcoming e-news or publications that would be beneficial to parents and students, we would greatly appreciate it. The partners will meet parents and students during institutional breakout sessions. Information tables from university partners including Austin College, Dallas Baptist University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University - Commerce, Texas Tech University, Texas Woman's University, Texas Wesleyan University, the University of Texas at Dallas, and the University of North Texas as well as Collin College will be available for browsing. Please note: Browsing tables will be available from 6:00-6:20 p.m. Welcome remarks and breakout sessions with the universities will begin at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited. The 2015-16 PSHS Advanced Fashion Design Class presents SPRING FASHION SHOW 2016. The show will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 7:30pm in the Doyle Dean Performing Arts Theater, Bldg. D. Pre-show tickets can be purchased for $5 from B209 or an Advanced Fashion Design student.

PROM 2016!

Tickets are NOW on sale on-line on Parent Portal until Friday, March 4th. The cost is $25 each or 2 for $50. Only seniors may purchase tickets. Limit is two per student. PSHS Prom will be Saturday, April 30th at Southfork Ranch from 8:30pm - 12:30am.


The United Methodist Women of St. Andrew UMC, Plano are hosting a Prom Closet for young ladies to shop for that special event. There are dresses in all sizes and colors, as well as shoes, handbags and jewelry. The event has everything needed to complete the "total look" for the evening.

The Plano, Clark, and Vines wrestlers have been working very hard since returning from Christmas break. Plano Senior has won a record number of dual matches this year as we finished with a total of 14 dual match wins. Included in these wins was a 47-28 victory over the cross town rivals at Plano West. The Varsity Cats have had great success both individually and as a team at multiple tournaments this year. Some of the highlights from these tournaments include placing 3rd at our tournament in Anadarko, Ok, placing 2nd at the Arlington Lamar Invite, and placing 2nd at the Arlington Heights dual tournament among many other successful tournaments throughout the season. Not only did the Plano team have great success, but both Vines and Clark had outstanding seasons as well. Clark and Vines Wrestling finished the season with the shared title of City Champions. Both Clark and Vines swept the city finishing undefeated against all other feeder schools in Plano. As fate would have it, after sweeping the Plano East and Plano West feeder schools, Clark and Vines finished their dual against each other in a battle that ended in a tie! This past weekend was our district tournament. This tournament was the final competition for all of our sub varsity wrestlers so please applaud them for a great year if you see them at school! As for the Varsity wrestlers, we had an exciting tournament that resulted in 7 of our wrestlers advancing on to the Regional wrestling tournament that will be held next week! If you happen to have any of these kids in class, or see them around your campus, please congratulate the following wrestlers for advancing to the Regional tournament this upcoming weekend!

Plano Senior High School was just announced among the State Semi-Finalists in the UIL Film contest!

This places our filmmakers’ work in the top thirty narrative short-films in the state. Please take a moment to congratulate Colin Pittman, Hannah Elcan, Erik Hamilton, and Payton Mayfield. Their film, If You Love Something, can be viewed at .
