The Plano, Clark, and Vines wrestlers have been working very hard since returning from Christmas break. Plano Senior has won a record number of dual matches this year as we finished with a total of 14 dual match wins. Included in these wins was a 47-28 victory over the cross town rivals at Plano West. The Varsity Cats have had great success both individually and as a team at multiple tournaments this year. Some of the highlights from these tournaments include placing 3rd at our tournament in Anadarko, Ok, placing 2nd at the Arlington Lamar Invite, and placing 2nd at the Arlington Heights dual tournament among many other successful tournaments throughout the season. Not only did the Plano team have great success, but both Vines and Clark had outstanding seasons as well. Clark and Vines Wrestling finished the season with the shared title of City Champions. Both Clark and Vines swept the city finishing undefeated against all other feeder schools in Plano. As fate would have it, after sweeping the Plano East and Plano West feeder schools, Clark and Vines finished their dual against each other in a battle that ended in a tie! This past weekend was our district tournament. This tournament was the final competition for all of our sub varsity wrestlers so please applaud them for a great year if you see them at school! As for the Varsity wrestlers, we had an exciting tournament that resulted in 7 of our wrestlers advancing on to the Regional wrestling tournament that will be held next week! If you happen to have any of these kids in class, or see them around your campus, please congratulate the following wrestlers for advancing to the Regional tournament this upcoming weekend!
