4th and 5th Grade Reading
Our Tag readers have been working on a project about the brain. Ask your child if they can tell you about Growth and Fixed Mindsets. We have been watching videos and reading about how the brain learns new things. We have learned that we are never too old to learn something new. Projects are due on November 5.

Growing your mind
FIFTH Grade Math
Fifth grade math students have been reviewing decimals and Order of Operations. Next we will be working on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. With every unit, we work on multi-step word problems.
Students can work on math skills at Khanacademy.org.
Fourth Grade Math
We have been working on a review of skills. Next we will spend time working with multi-step word problems.
Khanacademy.org is a great website for learning new math skills.
CREATIVITY/ART
The Creativity/Art group are creating posters for the Jim Claypool Conservation contest. They need to be completed and turned in to me by November 19. If your child would like for their poster to be sent on for the contest, they need to have the Contest Entry Form completed, which includes a parent's signature.
