Proposed Supplemental Levy Impact on Homeowners’ Taxes
The proposed supplemental levy is a continuation of one first approved by voters in 2012. Every two years the school district must bring the supplemental levy to voters for approval.
The supplemental levy rate was $52.60 per $100,000 last year. This year, if voters approve it again, that rate stays the same or may decrease. It has decreased each year since 2015.
No matter the outcome of the election on August 25, homeowners can expect a decrease of at least $65 per $100,000. This decrease is due to bond levies being repaid or refinanced, and a larger market base that the total levy amount can be spread across.
Board Receives Public Comment on School Opening Plans

Countless emails, phone calls and other modes of discussion have been had regarding the start of the new school year. Trustees meet again on August 25. At this time, Trustees will decide how school is to start.
