Kirkwood High Symphonic Orchestra and North Kirkwood Middle Orchestra Selected for 2024 Missouri Music Educators Association Conference
The Kirkwood High School Symphonic Orchestra and North Kirkwood Middle School Orchestra were both selected to perform at the 2024 Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) In-Service Workshop and Conference. Kirkwood High School and North Kirkwood Middle School are two of only five orchestras from across the state who were selected for this honor. Read more...
Kirkwood High School Students Part of Winning CAPS Teams
Kirkwood High School students connected to the St. Louis CAPS Engineering & Technology Design and Development course recently participated in the 7th Annual Gateway Arch National Park Engineering Competition to pitch their engineering solutions to a current challenge impacting the grounds of Gateway Arch National Park (GANP). The McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis hosted the event, and it was judged by a panel consisting of current and retired engineers, engineering professors, and Metro St. Louis officials. Kirkwood students Zachary Evans, Aeden Owens and Devon Quello were on a team that won 2nd place overall and tied for Best Executive Summary. Read more...

Special School District Board Candidate Filing
Special School District opened candidate filing for a Board of Education seat representing the Kirkwood School District on Dec. 5, 2023. The open seat is for a three-year term beginning in March 2024. SSD Board members are elected by SSD’s Governing Council. The Governing Council is comprised of one Board of Education member from each of the 22 partner school districts in St. Louis County.

Jan. 15 - Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held on Monday, January 15 at 1 p.m. at the Keating Center at Kirkwood High School. The celebration is sponsored by the Meacham Park Neighborhood Improvement Association, the Kirkwood Social Justice Coalition, the Kirkwood Humans Rights Commission and the Kirkwood School District.
Jan. 20 - KSD Job Fair
Share the news! The Kirkwood School District will host a Job Fair on Saturday, January 20. The event will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Turner Building at 1099 Milwaukee Street in Kirkwood. More information to come soon!
Feb. 10 - STEAMFest
We are looking for STEAMfest volunteers to greet guests, assist with a hands-on activity in a science room and grade projects. The event will be held in person on February 10. Interested in helping? Please complete our STEAMfest volunteer form.
