Principal's Corner
It has been a busy first month and a half of school so far. The students have been doing a wonderful job and are really starting to get into the swing of things here at Pine Street.
This week students completed our fall NWEA testing. Using this information and classroom assessments, teachers are busy planning WIN (What I need) intervention time for both math and reading. With the safety protocols we have in place, these interventions will take place in the classroom with the support of our para professionals and other staff.
We have many activities and events coming up this month. Next week is our annual Homecoming Spirit week complete with dress up days. Parents also have an opportunity to talk with teachers during the fall parent teacher conferences. We will end the month celebrating Halloween with both groups of students. Although these activities look a little different this year, we are excited to still offer these opportunities to our students.
In conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents, guardians and families for all of the support and encouragement for your students and our teachers. I am amazed daily by the hard work and dedication of our staff, students and families as we all work together to make this a successful year of school.
