To celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day (and Mrs. Pett’s birthday), our class had a donut-themed “Sprinkle Kindness” party! We read LOVE by Matt de la Peña, discussed how we can show kindness to others, and wrote how we can sprinkle kindness in our everyday lives. We learned that sometimes the best gift we can give is within ourselves!

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Austin Parkway Elementary has posted two required, annual performance reports, School Report Card and Federal Report Card, on the campus website for parent information. Both reports can also be accessed on the FBISD website using the provided link (https://www.fortbendisd.com/Page/927).

School Report Card (SRC)

The SRC is a report required by Section 39.305 of the Texas Education Code and is prepared annually by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for each campus in the state. The School Report Card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.

Federal Report Card (FRC)

The FRC is a report required under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA). Each year, TEA prepares an FRC for the State of Texas, each school district and each campus in Texas which is available for public viewing at the link provided (Federal Report Card).

NOW is the time to send in a personal dedication and a photo of your graduating 5th grader to be put in our 2021-22 APE Yearbook.

***Note that this differs from the baby pictures***

Deadline to order is MARCH 1, 2023.

**Dedication includes 1 photo and a message 80 words or less.

Dedications are $20.88— Pay and submit your content on 5th grade Dedication page

It is strongly recommended you order your dedication and yearbook at the same time.

Instructions for ordering the dedication:

1. Go to https://www.futurebookyearbooks.com/dedications/austin-parkway/
2. Scroll down to Select Your teacher, and fill out all the information
3. Upload your picture. You must have a picture uploaded in order to proceed.
4. Push the Submit button
5. Make your payment and Submit
6. All content for the dedication needs to be inputted into the Future yearbooks system by March 1st.

PTA meetings will be held during the school year. All parents are encouraged to become members of the PTA on our campus and attend meetings and events. The PTA typically provides monetary support such as programs, the winter and spring parties, technology, staff development for teachers, field trips, etc., as well as voluntary time and hours by providing people to assist with multiple school activities.
