The Loop
EEJMS Monthly Newsletter - April
Closing the Loop
Greetings All,
Just like many of you, I was thrust into teleworking and overseeing the continuity of learning for my own children. The collision of my two worlds - work and home - has required me to lean into our core values of being Self-Determined, Organized, Adaptable, and Respectful.
This new normal has been far from perfect. Balancing academics, emotions, anxiety, fears, and the demands of work can induce new stressors. I urge you to be mindful of your family's mental health and well-being, first. Navigating and supporting the emotions of our children is far more important than strictly following a carefully created schedule.
While there is nothing normal about our lives right now, many of our children may be craving some sense of normalcy and predictability. We have included in this issue an outline of our distance learning plan and a great article for helping your child manage the changes that have resulted from this crisis. I know you may have plenty of questions about our plan as well as the upcoming changes for the 4th quarter. Please reference this FAQ document for answers and to post any question that is not covered.
As always feel free to contact me at any time. To stay in the loop by receiving this newsletter to your email address please visit:
