Help Our Community Understand Poverty w/ a Simulation

We are scheduling future simulations now. If your school would like to participate in a Community Action Poverty Simulation this spring or fall please contact: Peggy Cormeny at pcormeny@sps186.org

Thank you for being part of the simulation. The simulation reflects the 'system' of poverty families must navigate when on a fixed or low income. Our community has great resources to help families that can be found on front page of District 186 Website (see below).

Please let me know if there are other supports you might need to strengthen students and families.

District 186, Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies (IACAA), and Sangamon County Community Resources are providing this simulation to schools this year. Source: MACA (Missouri Association for Community Action)
