A MESSAGE FROM MR. COLE
Dear Pine Road Families,
We are starting to get very excited about the Pine Road Halloween Parade! We have been closely watching the weather, and the latest forecast, while showing some chance of showers, has us optimistic that we will be able to hold the parade on our scheduled date (10/31). If the forecast changes, we will communicate via Connect-Ed and Talking Points. As a reminder, our rain date is 11/1, but all classroom parties will still be held as scheduled, regardless of the weather!
Please keep in mind that our campus will be closed to motor vehicles for our students’ safety after our regular student arrival is complete. Please carpool (if possible) and plan to park on Pine Road. More information regarding the parade can be found HERE.
As cooler and damper weather begins to move in, please remember to send students to school with appropriate clothing! We will utilize our outdoor spaces regularly and want to ensure that students are comfortable in the weather!
Lastly, we are excited to host a pair of Veterans Day Events this November. First, at the district level, we will host our Evening to Honor Veterans at LMHS on Friday, November 4th. This will be followed by the "Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day Breakfast” at Pine Road. This fantastic event will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2022, from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM. Our celebration will include breakfast for the student and a veteran guest, as well as a brief student-led program honoring and thanking our veterans for their service. More information, including a registration form, can be found in this letter.
Sincerely,
Scott Cole
Principal

Supporting New Families at Pine Road
In our district, we are lucky to have students and families who are from diverse cultures. Did you know that in our district, we have over 30 languages spoken?
To better support our new families, we would like to invite you to participate in serving as a mentor. As a mentor, you would be responsible for explaining school routines and special events and answering any questions that arise.
For those families who do not speak English as their native language, working with a mentor family who speaks the same language could be very helpful in learning to navigate our school system.
If you are interested in volunteering your time, please complete THIS form. New families would contact you upon their arrival to the district.
Cafeteria Reminder
Lunch menus are posted on a new interactive website, Nutrislice. Our innovative and interactive site and mobile app make our school menus more convenient and informative than ever before! Download the Nutrislice App from the App Store or get it on Google Play and search Lower Moreland.
Friendly reminder that the universal free lunch has ended, however starting October 1st free breakfast will be returning! Students that would like a free breakfast in the morning will walk straight to the cafeteria upon arrival. Students can eat breakfast in the cafeteria and granola bars, muffins, and cereal bars are also available if your student would like to save their breakfast for snack time.
Information on the Free or Reduced Lunch Prices can be found on the nutrition page on our LMTSD website.
