Winter Concert coming up
Next Tuesday, December 13, 2016 is the Tustumena Winter Concert. Students need to arrive by 5:45 and go directly to their classrooms. In order to make sure everyone goes home with their coats, etc. all students will be returned to their classrooms after the concert as well. We ask that parents pick them up from there.
Please remember that the attire is "the best they have available." Please do not feel the need to go out and buy special clothes for this event. Thank you.
Brrrrrrr...
A historic day... In FDR's memorable voice:
Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, Members of the Senate, and of the House of Representatives:
Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.

Here is a link to more social studies information for you to share with your children about this day in history.

Even though much of our history is unpleasant to remember, such as this event, I believe we must study and remember history, lest we repeat it. I would like to suggest that you research this event with your children, at their appropriate level, so they will benefit from your guidance and teaching about our nation's history.
The Cash Raffle was a big success.
