Phillips Friday Focus
January 29,2016
Of course it was at Phillips...
What a crazy start to our week! My first Monday as your Interim Principal was quite memorable. I wore the same sweater I wore on that crazy Thanksgiving lunch day. I think I may burn that sweater, :). Thank you for being flexible and making the day run as smoothly as possible. Next week will be busy as well with planning meetings and SST on Wednesday. Don't lose steam, we are full speed ahead right now. As I said at the faculty meeting Wednesday, I am proud and honored to be your leader.
On a side note, Dallas ISD passed a mandatory recess rule last night. Our kids work hard, let them play hard.
UIL on Saturday
Congratulations to our participants and thank you to Marisa Solomon and all the coaches that put in the long hours to help our students be ready for their meet. Super proud of you all!
Prodigy
I am hearing the Prodigy buzz around campus. The students seem to love this new Math game. Thanks to Mr. Dennie for introducing it to us.
Guided Reading
Mrs. Acevedo is tapping in and out to hear students read.
