Volunteers & Lunch Visitors Reminder
Per HSE Policy, visitors must have their SafeVisitor Badge scanned to check-in to the building. Please download the SafeVisitor App (it is available in Google Play or via the app store on the iPhone) or have your badge available when you come into the school. Looking up names can lead to the wrong person being signed in.
Upon leaving, please give your printed badge to the office staff for quick check-out.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Vicki Foutty at 317-594-4100.
Be Prepared for School Closings and Weather Delays This Winter
The doors to the school will be locked so please do not drop off your children and drive away!! Students will be admitted into the building at 10:45 AM. School will begin at 10:55 AM. No lunch visitors will be allowed on delay days due to an altered schedule.
In cases of extreme weather conditions, the Superintendent of HSE Schools will call a weather day and close all HSE schools. Again, parents will be notified via Skylert and closings will be announced on social media and by local TV stations.
Remember that HSE bus service will run on all school days. We encourage you to have your child ride the provided bus transportation to school so as not to be late -- tardiness due to weather is not excused. If your child attends the Y before/after care, the Y will be open as usual on delay days but will be closed on cancellation days.
Outdoor Recess Happens Year-Round! Remember - please dress your child for the weather
PTO's Dance-a-Thon
The HRE PTO would like to thank all of our families for helping to make this year's Dance-a-thon a success! Our staff and students had a great time dancing in the gym today! So far, we have raised $14,665 for our STEM lab. Way to go Rockets! If you haven't had an opportunity to donate, you still can. Please see the instructions below.
Follow these simple steps for success:
1. Register your child by visiting www.thegetmovincrew.com and go to “Get Registered Parent Login”.
2. Fundraising will take place January 5-February 2.
3. Friends and Family want to help your child be successful. Use the student fundraising page to promote online donations.
4. Reach Pledge Superstar status by getting $50 or more in donations.
The easiest way to donate is online, but donations in the form of cash or check can be turned in to the school also. Please make checks payable to Hoosier Road PTO.
Thank you again for your support!
