Vicksburg Victory!

The Shamrock Marching Band earned 1st place in Class C with a score of 78.8 at the Vicksburg Marching Invitational. They also earned Best Music in Class C. The students worked hard and overcame threatening weather to achieve this victory. The video file that Vicksburg sent us was corrupted, so until we can get a replacement, please visit the High School Facebook page to watch our performance.

We have an extremely important rehearsal this Tuesday, October 9th to clean and improve our show before the MSBOA festival on Wednesday, October 10th. All HS band members need to be on time and ready to work - as it is the only "true" rehearsal we get this week with all of the Homecoming activities. HS students: check your Schoology for some discussion posts and the judges tapes for music and marching.

Upcoming performances:

Wednesday, October 10th at Niles High School at 7pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students/seniors, and $15 for families. Concessions and programs will be available for sale.

Friday, October 12th for our Homecoming parade, pep rally, and football game.

Saturday, October 13th at Lakeshore High School at 7:15pm. Admission is $6. Concessions and programs will be available for sale.

Please refer to this newsletter sent last week for schedules and details.

Friendly Reminder: Middle School Students all have a BAND DAY tomorrow (Monday, October 8th)

Pie Fundraiser

Hopefully, your student brought home a pie fundraiser flyer this past week.

We are selling pies and cheesecakes to raise funds for band trips, camps, and accessories. Part of the funds raised will go to the seller's band account.

Fundraiser orders and money are due November 1st. Products will be delivered the week before Thanksgiving. Delivery date will be announced as soon as we get product confirmation from the company. All products come frozen, so they will need to be picked up on delivery day.

Thank you for your continued support of our program! If you have questions about the fundraiser, please contact Sherri Keene, our Band Booster president at slkeene32@yahoo.com or 269-921-0506.
