The Louisiana Purchase
Doubling the size of America
Why was the Louisiana purchase important?
The Louisiana purchase is important because it doubled Americas size at the time and made a big impact on life in America. For example, if Napoleon Bonapart (the owner of the Louisiana territory at the time) had not sold the Louisiana territory than Meriweather Lewis and William Clark would not have gone exploring and a explorer would not have died and we might not have even become a country!
