Report Cards and Class Lists


Class Lists

There are many factors that impact enrollment and staffing, so all elementary schools in the district are shooting for a mid-August release timeframe for class lists. The first day of school is Monday, August 23. Click here to view the school calendar for the 2021-2022 school year. Please note the change in the dates of our mid-winter break as they have been changed from those dates that had been previously published. As we look ahead to the 2021-2022 school year, please contact Mrs. Walcott in the office if your student(s) will not be returning to AES in the fall.


STAR Reports and Report Cards

Final STAR reports will be coming home before the last day of school in your child's backpack. Report cards will be mailed to you on the afternoon of June 11th.

Medication Pick up!

Parents: please remember to pick up any medication that you may have at school for your child. Meds can be picked up in the office. We cannot send medication home with students. Any meds remaining at school after June 11 will be discarded.

LOST AND FOUND

Parents! We will be moving the lost and found tables to the vestibule/front office entrance area. Please stop in and take a quick peek for any of your kiddos things. Any remaining items left after June 4, will be donated. Thank you!

Students will be dismissed at 12:15pm. Sack lunches will be available for students to take home. If you would like your student to receive a sack lunch, please order with your students teacher.

Field Day-For students and staff only!

Friday, June 4th, 9-11:45am

Alward Field

Students will participate in field day events outside for most of the morning! Please be sure to send your student with a water bottle and put sunscreen on before school!

PTC Corner


Book Fair - The PTC wants to give Mrs. Fellows a big shoutout for stepping up and leading the book fair this year! She made it super easy for the kids to pick out their books. It was so awesome seeing the kids get to look and pick out books for summer reading!

Family Fare Receipts - Turn in your Family Fare receipts and our school will earn $1,000 for every $150,000 in receipts that we collect. We just earned a $1,000 check for our school and are on our way to the next $1,000! Keep sending those receipts in!


BoxTops - Collecting Box Tops is another way we earn money for our school! We collect Box Tops all year!

We look forward to next year and being able to meet all the new Alward families. We hope we are able to get back to having the fun events we plan throughout the year. We would like to thank all of the Alward Families for supporting school and staff this crazy year. We are lucky to have such a supportive group of parents to help make school fun for our kids and staff.

Alward Virtual Art Show!

All students from Pre-K to 5th grade have put in a lot of work and heart into their projects in art class this year. The end of year art show is a great way to showcase students' efforts and accomplishments in art. This year the art show is a virtual compilation of student work showcased in a video on youtube. 2021/22 School Year Calendar

Please note the change of winter break dates for the 2021/22 school year! Winter Break will now be Feb. 14/15.

2021/22 PK/K Enrollment

Online registration for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year is now available. To be eligible, children must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2021.

The Ottawa County Health Department continues to make changes and update the COVID-19 Policies and Procedures. Please see below for the most updated information. This is what we as a school are required to follow. We will continue to keep the most update information in this newsletter. The complete guidelines for schools can be found here.   • Visit Our Website: Our school website will be updated on a regular basis as it will be the main source of information for our parents and community members. We will no longer have an Alward Blog as we are looking to consolidate and simply communication to our families.
  • School Messenger: Regular communication from school messenger will be sent out via email, phone calls, or text messages to keep you in the loop on what is taking place at Alward!
