Letters of Rec Reminder
If you have NOT asked teachers for letters of recommendation AND requested those letters on Naviance you MUST do so ASAP if you are applying to schools that require them.
Internship Requirements
If you want to do an internship this spring you must pass with at least a C- in ALL of your first quarter classes to be eligible.
Brag Sheets
Want a teacher to write you a letter of recommendation? Remember to ask them in person and complete your 23/24 Brag Sheet on Naviance.
FAFSA RELEASE DATE
The FAFSA will be released on December 31st, 2023! Make sure you and your parent have an FSA ID so you can submit the FAFSA on time!

Scholarships for LGBTQ+ Students
UMass Dartmouth Founder Scholarship
Deadline: December 1, 2023
Amount: Tuition, fees, room and board
Eligibility:
- Be a Massachusetts resident
- Have a cumulative GPA of 4.0
- Score a 1200 SAT or 25 ACT, or apply test-optional
- Be in the top 10 of their graduating class
- Choose to live on campus

Simmons Boston Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition and room and board at Simmons University
Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:
- Currently attend a Boston public high school or Boston charter school
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (re-calculated)
- Simmons is test optional so it is your choice if you would like to submit standardized test scores with your admission application. For those choosing to submit test scores, a 21 or higher is recommended on the ACT and a 1080 or higher is recommended on the SAT
- Have demonstrated creativity, engagement, global perspective, leadership, resiliency, or other qualities indicative of the ability to contribute to Simmons' diverse community

Jackie Robinson Scholarship
Deadline: January 10, 2024

Eligibility:
- Be a graduating, minority high school senior
- Be a United States citizen
- Present evidence of financial need
- Demonstrate a record of academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service
- Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
- Have not accrued more than 25% of credits needed to graduate from college.
Fidelity Scholars Scholarship
Deadline: January 11th, 2024

The Fidelity Scholars program will fund Bachelorβs degree recipients for up to four years of study. As a need-based scholarship, the amount of financial support provided will depend on the cost of attendance determined at the college or university in which you are enrolling. The Fidelity Scholars Program uses a last dollar approach. That means your scholarship funds will only be applied after your family contribution and all other financial aid sources have been granted.
Eligibility Requirements
The program is open to students ages 16 to 24 who are permanent residents of Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, and the District of Columbia*. Fidelity Scholars MUST attend college full time in their permanent state of residence.
Other key requirements include:
2.5 - 3.5 unweighted GPA or GED certificate
Pell eligible and/or demonstrated financial need
Plan to enroll full-time at a 4-year accredited, non-profit college or university as a first-time, incoming freshman.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Deadline: February 15th, 2024

Amount: $500 to $5000
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be of Hispanic heritage
- U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable)
