2020 Elementary Summer School for Owyhee will be held at Whitney Elementary.
Dates: June 22 – July 24 (No School June 26th & July 3rd)
Times: 9:00 – 12:45
In addition to traditional summer school focusing Reading, Writing, Math, and Art (K-3 only), any current 6th grade student who is interested in extra math and science can enroll in STEM 6. STEM 6 is a new option for 6th grade students interested in extra math and science during the summer months. Students will use technology and engineering to plan and build two STEM projects. Certified teachers deliver engaging math extensions specific to sixth and seventh grade curriculum. STEM 6 is available to any sixth grade students who are interested in enriching their math experience and understanding and would like to explore math with hands-on STEM projects.
Students who qualify can attend the reading session for no cost. Cost for students who wish to attend the whole day is $20 enrollment fee and $75 summer school fee. Scholarships may be available for summer school fee and but not the enrollment fee. Please speak with your school if you wish to discuss enrollment fee options.
All day students will be provided transportation from their home school to the summer school site by bus.
