Northwood News August 22

Be Smart. Be Kind. Be United. Be a Unicorn.

Welcome to Northwood!

Dear Northwood Community,

We made it through our first full week of school last week. Everyone was tired by Friday from a full five days of learning, but it was a good tired! It really feels like we are in the swing of things now!

Last week our students began the first round of MAP testing (Measure of Academic Growth) all of our students take these nationally normed online assessments in order to help track growth and guide instruction. Students in K-5 will take a reading and math test three times a year and grades 3-5 will also take a science test. There is nothing students need to do to prepare for the test. The results will be shared with you during parent teacher conferences in September.

Have a great week and thank you for your support!
