Copper Creek Bobcat Blast
Sunday, October 2, 2022
Our fall picture event went very well. It was so very nice to see all of our students in their best picture attire and wonderful smiles!
On Friday, we had our first Harmony assembly for the school year, with the entire school in attendance. During the assembly some students had the opportunity to play some "minute to win it" games, all the while their peers cheered them on. We also had a moment to recognize our incredible Bobcats who did their best during the first quarter of the semester. We want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to all of our PAWSOME winners.
A friendly reminder to parents, K-12 parent/teacher conferences are coming up, Oct 6 & 7. Please be on the lookout for sign-up e-mails from your student's teacher. If you haven't signed up already.

A Note From The Counselor
Make Communication a Priority
You can't expect children to do everything simply because you, as parents, "say so". Children want and deserve explanations as much as adults do. If we don't take time to explain, children will begin to wonder about our values and motives and whether they have any basis. Parents who reason with their children allow them to understand and learn in a nonjudgmental way.
Make your expectations clear. If there is a problem, describe it to your older child, express your feelings about it, and invite your child to work on a solution with you. Be sure to include consequences. Make suggestions and offer choices. Be open to your child's suggestions as well. Negotiate with your child. Children who participate in decisions are more motivated to carry them out.
Food and Nutrition will be having a coloring contest and prizes for students K-8
Students K-3 will be able to get a coloring sheet from the cafeteria and color it in - return it to the cafeteria and be entered into the drawing.
Students grade 4-8 will be able to do a freestyle drawing based on the theme of Peace, Love and School Lunch!! They can do the same - turn them into the cafeteria and be entered into the drawing.
2 winners will be picked from each HS Region. Each winner will get a Groovy Prize Bag!
