A Note from the Front Office

Thank you for sharing updates regarding COVID concerns. Due to increased communication, we would ask that you use the following guidelines of reporting:

  1. Isolate students per the guidelines (presumed positive with covid like symptoms or tests positive).

  2. Fill out the form to communicate with the school staff.

  3. Have your student check google classroom to keep up with their education until isolation has ended.

Per the current guidelines, individuals who are asymptomatic or have resolving symptoms (without a fever for 24 hours) should isolate for 5 days from symptom onset, followed by an additional 5 days of wearing a mask around others. The day symptoms developed is considered “day zero.” Students may return to in person learning on day 6, while wearing a mask through day 10. If you prefer not to wear a mask, the school district’s recommendation is that you please remain home through your 10 day isolation.

To help kick off our Sources of Strength Week, Cimarron will be hosting a Drive-Thru/Mobile Curbside Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A of Parker.

Monday, January 24th from 4-8 pm

You must mention Cimarron or Spirit Night when ordering in drive-thru or in the Special Instructions for Curbside and Drive-Thru Mobile Orders via our Chick-fil-A One App.

Cimarron will get 10% cash back of sales and our plan is to use that money to buy more gift cards for the victims of the Marshall Fire.

Sources of Strength Night- Cancelled

Dear Sources of Strength Supporters,

The Community Sources of Strength night scheduled for January 24th is postponed to a later date due to the impact that COVID is having on our school district and community. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality event for our Sources of Strengths supporters and look forward to another date. Further communication will be released about our rescheduled event.

Electives Selection for the 2022-2023 Year

This week your 6th and 7th grade students will receive their elective worksheets for the 22-23 school year. Please look over this form with your student and help them request their electives for next year.

  • Choose carefully as there are NO schedule changes

  • It is unlikely you will get all your first choices, so choose alternates carefully and in order of priority

  • Requesting both semester Choir classes in your top choices could give you a year of choir. If you only want choir for one semester, only choose one choir class as a top choice

  • Form MUST be filled out completely and have 8 separate electives listed, in order of priority (1-8). If the required number of choices is not provided, students may be scheduled in ANY available class

  • Prior experience is required to sign up for Band, Orchestra and Spanish 1B & II

  • Students in Dimensions of Literacy will be automatically assigned, if the class is required, and will take the place of one elective period

  • E-Media & Yearbook require an application and will only be assigned if the student is selected for the class. Please make sure you complete and turn in the separate application to be considered for these classes.

Band Spring Concert: Monday, March 7th @ 6:30 pm in the CiMS Commons


Orchestra Spring Concert: Thursday, March 10th @ 6:30 pm in the CiMS Commons


Winter Showcase: Come showcase your talents! Choose a musical theatre piece, monologue or scene that you will receive coaching on throughout our rehearsal process. Together we will create a wonderful evening of theatrical performances! Sign Up for performances and tech crew will January 4th-7th, Rehearsal will begin January 10th and be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00 PM. Performances will be February 10th & 11th at 6:00 PM.

**There will be NO Spring Musical this year-this will be the only performance opportunity outside of Drama class for the spring semester.
