United Healthcare
Blue Cross/ Blue Shield
Forms for the clinic can be picked up in the health room at any time. They need to be returned by Friday, March 12, 2020. This is the Friday before Spring Break.
- As a reminder, all seniors are required by the State of Missouri to have a Meningococcal Vaccine/ MCV AFTER THE AGE OF 16, PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL THEIR SENIOR YEAR.
- The Meningococcal / MCV vaccine they received in 8th grade does NOT count as the one needed for 12th grade.
- If your student is a Junior and is 16 years old, you don't have to wait any longer! You can get this vaccine now, even if you don't qualify for the clinic.
- Don't wait until the few days before school starts as clinics and offices often run low on this vaccine or require an appointment. Those appointment times fill up fast!
- Link to the 2020-21 immunization requirements
If you are planning to have your child noted as EXEMPT, please know that a hard copy of the EXEMPTION informational card received from the Platte County Health Dept. must be on file in the health room. A copy will not be accepted.
For information regarding EXEMPT status, please see: VACCINE EXEMPT POLICY
If you are unsure whether or not your student needs this vaccine, you may contact the nurse at any time.
Meal Payments
ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10th, We began a District-wide NO CHARGE policy on a la carte items for students with a negative balance. Please remember to send in money, or pay online, to help bring your student's balance back into the positive. Check the balance via the portal, or directly on the K12payment center website. (linked below) Students with a negative balance are still allowed to charge a regular tray lunch.
Parents can deposit money for meal transactions through K12PaymentCenter. Parents can access K12PaymentCenter via this link or via the links icon on Parent Portal. In addition to allowing for better and faster service to students during meal times at school, the online portion of the new system provides a much-needed update to District tools. Transactions up to $100 will receive a flat transaction fee of $1.95; transactions above $100 will receive a transaction fee of 2.99% of the total.
Parents can still deposit money for meal transactions by sending payment via check or cash to their child's school.
If you do not have access to Parent Portal - please call the high school office for balance information at 816-858-2822 x1300.

Bullying and Safety Concerns
Safety is one of our district’s top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, our district is now using SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration.
You and your child can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, or any safety issue you're concerned about through SafeSchools Alert.
Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so that they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.
Together, using SafeSchools Alert, we can make our district a safer place to learn!
