May
OESJ JR/SR HS Monthly Newsletter
From the Desk of Mr. Warren........
It’s already May! It’s hard to put into words what this year has been like. The rollercoaster ride is an understatement. We have experienced many challenges and will continue to tackle any others that come our way. We thought last year would be the year nobody would forget, 2021 is not much different.
I am extremely proud of the OESJ school community, our students, staff, and families. Take a minute and reflect back to where you were a year ago. To say the least, we made what seemed to be impossible possible.
I am a believer in doing the best that you can with the time that you have. I always hope we can do better when we use the knowledge we have gained from a past experience. Each challenging situation has been tackled one step at a time and we have made the best of many changing and challenging situations.
This is the month that we begin to focus on the end-of-year activities as many students are putting a capstone to their current year and trying to move forward to the next. We focus more specifically on our seniors as they move towards the next chapter of their lives. There are more knowns then unknowns compared to last year.
When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb it only stayed lit for a short period of time. Through making the impossible possible, many adjustments have been made to refine and adapt to becoming excellent.
Despite our challenges, we have been able to move on in our lives with a greater perspective, ability to understand and demonstrate empathy from all we have experienced in a year. Thank you to everyone that has been understanding during this challenging process.
I would like to thank all of our teachers here at OESJ JR/ SR High School. I appreciate you! You have been flexible, committed, and resilient. You have always put the interest of our students at the forefront of your planning. Thank you for all that you do!

The winning pitch came from students: Kenneth Calabrese, Justin Shultz, Jeffrey Lillard, and Zackary Young. Each student on the winning team received an Amazon gift card for their hard work!
A special thank you to guest judges - OESJ JR./Sr. HS Principal, Mr. Warren & FMRCC Director of Workforce Development, Nicole Walrath!
