Endangered Circus Animals

Locked-up:
Animals in circuses often have very little room and are often crammed in small spaces.
Chained:
Elephants in their natural habitat live over 70 years while animals captive at circuses average lies pan is 14 years (captivity-introduced foot problems and arthritis are the most common reasons for euthanasia in captive elephants).
Abused:
Animals in circuses are abused and neglected and often beaten by their "care-takers".
What circus animals go through:
- Abuse
- Separation from families
- Intensively confined
- Chained for extended periods of time
- They become increasingly violent spectecals
- Little attention
- Injuries
- Sometimes death
- Deprived from exercise
- Deprived from roaming
- Deprived from social activity
- Deprived from play
- Not healthy
Research Question:
What are the effects for animals in the circus?
They become increasingly violent spectecals and they are unhealthy in most cases and suffer from injuries.
